Welcome to our Tennessee Fainting Goat farm, Genesis
Acres, located in beautiful Wisconsin. We strive to raise quality
Myotonic/Fainting goats. We have a variety of colors with our emphasis
on long-haired, cashmere, blue-eyed, and polled Fainters. Our kids
are handled daily and the herd itself gets daily attention and is
visually observed during feedings to ensure good health and attend
to anything that would appear to be out of the ordinary in terms
of looks or behavior of our animals. We do health care of our goats
such as trimming and worming on a regular schedule and any vaccinations
we choose to do. We have tested for CAE and the results have been
negative.
As I mentioned we spend alot of time with our herd and are very
attached to them. Having said that we will only sell to homes where
we are assured that they will receive the same care that they get
from our family. We often have kids for sale throughout the year,
many of which are mini fainters. Miniature Fainting goats make wonderful
pets. We are proud to announce that GAE Charity, GAE Jacob, TPF
Apple Jax, LBM Zag, GAE Zipper, GAE Sugar and Hillside Praire Precious
officially are registered with the MSFGA (Mini-Silky Fainting Goat
Association) with registrations pending on Striper, Poof, Hope,&
Silky. The does ideally should be 22.5 inches or under at the withers
and must not exceed 23.5 inches. Bucks ideally should be 23.5 inches
or under at the withers and must not exceed 25 inches. There is
more information regarding this organization under their website.
We are continuing to select other goats, both does and bucks that
might meet the requirements and hopefully get them accepted as well,
as we are working towards raising the "Silky Fainter"
in addition to our other sizes and types of Tennessee Fainting Goats.
Our goats will not be sold for meat, but those that are looking
for that type of goat they are available through other breeders.
The meat type are a much larger type of myotonic goat as you will
notice if you compare pictures to the type that we raise for pets,
showing, starting your own herd, or adding new bloodlines to your
already existing herd. Most of our herd are small, mini fainters.
Mini fainters are relatively new in the goat world, and we are proud
to offer these premium animals. |
