ZeigyWe enjoy raising a variety of different size fainters with various types of coats including some cashmere and long haired. We have many tri-colored kids and also many black and white, so there is quite a good selection at kidding season. We also raise some polled fainters, which if you are not familiar with the term, just means they are born without horns, or "naturally hornless".

Our past kidding season has brought us a lot of marbled-eyed kids out of our herd sire "Zeus". We have also purchased some new bloodlines from both Illinois and Oklahoma and are very pleased with the doelings from both these farms. We anticipate excellent offspring out of these new bloodlines, with some having some HALR background in their breeding. The kids that are sired by "Zeus" have proven to be fast growing and very healthy as are all our animals. Their health care needs such as trimming , worming etc. is done on a regular basis to ensure they stay in good health.

The majority of what we raise are Premium fainters,Peacock which again if you are new to this breed of goat, their muscles will become rigid when startled, which forces them to topple over on their side. Regular fainters will often just show signs of "locking up", but are able to maintain their balance. You can register both of them with the MGR (Myotonic Goat Registry). It is not a complicated process and helps to preserve this exotic, good natured, easy kidding, breed of goat. I also have memberships with the IFGA (International Fainting Goat Association) and also the MSFGA (Mini Silky Fainting Goat Association). I register with the IFGA as well as MGR and am also sending in pics of some goats to hopefully get accepted for "foundation status" with the new organization of the MSFGA.

They are very affectionate and love attention. They are easy on fencing and content to stay within its boundaries. They make easy prey for predators, so good solid fencing is necessary to protect them. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have the wonderful herd we have and in the process of buying and selling to have met many wonderful people along the journey.

Our children have been a tremendous help with getting our farm to where it is today and for that we are very grateful. Not only have they been there to help with caring for the animals, mending fences and bottle feeding, but they have also offered tremendous emotional support. We have truly been blessed with our kids!
