Our bucks are chosen for health, confirmation and personality. We have several bucks that are used in our herd, some blue eyed, some with long hair and some with short hair. We are the proud owners of "Zag" who is a direct descendent buck of "Ziegy" of Ziegenbock Beer who until his demise was the official mascot for Anheuser Busch Beer. Since our "Zag" seems to respond to the name of his daddy, that is what we have been calling him- "Ziegy." There are only 5 direct descendents out of this bloodline if my information is correct ,and we will do our best as we told Ron Keener (who sadly lost "Ziegy") to continue to preserve this bloodline and promote breeding for the long-haired "miniature size" Fainters. We also have another beautiful tri-colored long-haired herdsire "Zeus" out of Heiken's Ark Inc. He has thrown some beautiful, fast growing healthy kids as well. We have several polled herd sires that we have had since we started to raise Fainters, our lovable "Sam" polled black and white, and "Luke" our polled long-haired soft tri-colored herdsire. Apple Jax and Pepper should produce some very interesting kids and give a new look to our herd. We are excited to see what everyone produces as we alternate our herdsires with various does to try to achieve different coloring, bloodlines, more polled, blue-eyed and longer coats.
